Special Projects Funding for MAME Members

DETAILS:

  • The purpose of this fund is to support and encourage creative projects to help among multi-age and multi-levelled teachers.
  • Teachers are encouraged to submit collaborative projects that are creative in nature.
  • Up to $5000 will be allocated to this fund each year. 
  • A maximum of $1000 will be funded per application.



CRITERIA:

  • A minimum of one applicant must be a MAME member
  • This  project must be relevant to multi-age settings, and the application must clearly state project outcomes and a multi-age application
  • This project must benefit multiple students and/or staff members
  • One application per project will be considered.
  • If applying through divisional/school/other funding, the  applicant must use divisional/school/other funding first and then access MAME funds
  • Members/Executive may only access one funding opportunity a year (only able to access PD funding, special project, or tuition) 
  • Members/Executive cannot apply for the same type of funding for two consecutive years (for example, if they applied for a special project grant, they cannot apply for a special project grant the next year, but can apply for tuition or PD funding)


PROCESS:

  • Applicants must complete the “Application for Special Projects Grant” by April 15th of the current school year (September-August)
  • All receipts must be received by June 15
  • Funding will be granted based on criteria and at the committee's discretion.  The first vote will occur on or after September 30th of each school year, and then will occur on going as applications are received. 
  • Applicants will be reimbursed for funds upon completion of the activity once the following are submitted
  • A blog article for MAME, which makes note of any particular strategies/techniques that other multi-age teachers would be interested in hearing about, or an article that summarizes the activity. 
  • Original receipts that are submitted to MAME
  • “Special Projects Grant Reimbursement” form filled out completely
  • Photocopied receipts for funds that were accessed through another organization (school/division) – if necessary
  • Copy of reimbursement form used to access funds through another organization (school/division) – if necessary
