Evolving Inclusion Through Collaborative Support
In this session, we will explore how the goals of inclusion continue to shift as our understanding of diversity and identity grows. Participants will reflect on their own contexts while considering next steps for advocacy and action. We will examine collaborative classroom support models that position disability as an identity rather than a deficit, focusing on student needs as a foundation for planning. Drawing on Universal Design for Learning principles, we will discuss how strategies designed for students with disabilities can strengthen supports for all learners, creating classrooms that anticipate and respond to the needs of the entire community.
This virtual event is intended for educators and specialists from out-of-town who are unable to attend the in-person event.
